Privacy policy
What this site collects, what it does not, and what happens when you follow a link to a vendor.
This is a publication, not a service. There are no accounts, nothing to log into, and no reason for this site to know who you are. What follows is the complete account of what does happen.
What is collected
Standard server logs, which record the request, the page, an approximate location derived from the network address, and the browser making the request. These are used to understand which sheets are read and to notice when something is broken, and they are not combined with anything else.
If privacy-respecting analytics are in use, they record page views in aggregate without cookies and without building a profile of an individual visitor. No advertising network trackers are present on this site.
Email, if you send it
An email address given to receive revision notices is used to send revision notices and nothing else. It is not sold, rented or shared, and every message carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. If you email us directly, that correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for answering you.
Outbound links to vendors
Links to the tools reviewed here pass through a redirect on this domain before reaching the vendor. That redirect is how a partner relationship is attributed; it does not add tracking of its own beyond what the ordinary server log already records.
Once you arrive at a vendor's site you are subject to their privacy practices and their cookies, not ours. Most of them set an attribution cookie. Their policies are on their own domains and are worth reading if that matters to you. The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side.
Your rights
Because this site holds almost nothing about you, most data requests resolve quickly. If you want to know what is held, or want it removed, write to [email protected] and it will be handled. Depending on where you live you may have statutory rights of access, correction and erasure; those are honoured regardless of where the request comes from.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the revision date in the site's title block changes with it. This version was issued 19 September 2026.
